Athletics Contest Attendance Protocols

 

Due to attendance restrictions on attendees at our events (inside including participants) by the Governor, Randolph County Health Department and Randolph Eastern School Board Union City JR/SR High School Athletic Department will be implementing the following protocols for attendance. This will look different from past practice and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Remember things are very fluid during this pandemic and this information is subject to change.

Attention: The following ticketing and admission policies are now in effect for home Union City JR and SR High athletic events due to the recent upgrade of Randolph County’s COVID status level is BLUE.  If there is a further change to the status level up or down we will adjust accordingly. 

Softball and Baseball

  1. Attendance Capacity and requirements (Covid Blue Level)
    1. Softball and Baseball 250 including participates and event workers
    2. Mask required for all fans and event workers
    3. Mask required for coaches and umpires on and off the field
    4. Mask required for all players to enter the event and in dugouts 
    5. No seating on bleacher rows marked with hazard tape
    6. Signs on fences to promote mask wearing and social distancing
    7. PA announcements to promote mask wearing and social distancing

Track JH and HS

  1.    Attendance Capacity and requirements (Covid Blue Level)
    1. Track total 500 (Home side 250, Away side 250)
    2. Upto 200 participates and event workers in the infield
    3. Presbox upto 10 occupants observing social distance and in mask
    4. Mask required for all fans and event workers
    5. Mask required for coaches and event workers
    6. Mask required for all players to enter the event 
    7. No seating on bleacher rows marked with hazard tape
    8. Signs on fences to promote mask wearing and social distancing
    9. PA announcements to promote mask wearing and social distancing


Anyone coming to events should self-screen prior to arrival

Please stay home if:

  • You are experiencing COVID-like symptoms.
  • You have been determined a COVID “Close Contact”.
  • You have been advised to quarantine or test for COVID.
  1. General Considerations
    1. Disinfect the bench and dugout areas prior to competition 
    2. Provide hand sanitizer and wipes in each dugout for players, umpires and game personnel. 
    3. Players will need to furnish their own water bottles
    4. No spitting of seeds, gum or saliva
    5. Home team will sanitize the game balls prior to being put in play or back in play.
    6. Accurate records of those athletes and staff who attend each practice and events in case of contact tracing is needed.
    7. Only the official scorekeeper is to touch the official scorebook
    8. Team pre game or post game food pre package items only
  2. Locker Room Accommodations
    1. NO locker rooms will be used
  3. Ticket distribution home and away guest
    1. No-Season Passes 
      1. Punch Passes 10 and 20 ct will be available. Digital or hard plastic available both scannable. Punch Passes that are sold/redeemed will be included in home ticket count
      2. NO Gold Card Passes accepted
    2. Tickets will be sold digitally online $4.00/5.00 or $6.00 depending on the event plus fees
    3. Home fans 100 tickets available and 100 tickets available for away fans, leaves 50 for participants and event workers.
  4. Transportation
    1. Mini buses for both Softball and Baseball
    2. Seating charts will be used
  5. Concession Stands and ticket booths
    1. Sneeze guards up
    2. Crowd control rectracta-post to keep lines moving in one direction 
    3. Concession stand workers and ticket scanners in mask 
    4. Pre packaged food only will be served

Capacity at all events is limited it is best to check the website post for each event’s availability of tickets. Inside events fans, event workers and participants all count toward the total number of people allowed. Outside events only the paid admission counts toward the total number of people allowed.
