ImPACT Testing

ImPACT Testing:

This is a computerized neurophysiological test to help determine normal brain function. This is a tool used to determine when an athlete is ready to return to play following a concussion. It is required for most athletes participating in sports at Union City. All ImPACT testing will be completed by each athlete to be allowed to go out for a team. Sports that do NOT require ImPACT testing includes 6th grade girls’ and boys’ basketball and any elementary student/athlete that is playing in a JH level sport.

You must take the test if:
– You are going to be a Junior
– You are going to be a Freshman
– You are going to be a 7th Grader
– You have not tested in 2 years

If you are unsure of your last test date, please speak with the Athletic Trainer.
