UC Volleyball loses to Northeastern

The Lady Indians lost in straight sets to Northeastern.  Leading the Lady Indians in kills was Mariah Claywell with 9 followed by Emily Livingston with 5.  Emily also led in blocks for the team with 5.  The ladies will be back in action Monday, August 24th at home against Southern Wells.


Today’s spotlight is on senior fullback/linebacker Hunter Clay.  Hunter is the son of Tracy and Billie Jo Riser.  Hunter has been a staple on both sides of the ball for the last two seasons for the Indians.  His favorite sports movie is Varsity Blues.  He loves listening to Morgan Wallen.  Hunters favorite food is BBQ


Senior Spotlight number 4 finds us looking at Ryan Armantrout. Ryan plays offensive and defensive line and punts for the Indians.   Ryans parents are Bill and Mary Armantrout.  Ryan is involved in FFA, Basketball, Track and National Honor Society.  Ryan is also a very talented welder who has been training for the past two years.


Today’s senior spotlight is Erik Terriquez.  Erik is an offensive lineman and defensive lineman for the Indians this season.  Eriks parents are Maria Reveles and Aurelio Terriquez.  Erik is following in the footsteps of his two older brothers who were both outstanding athletes at Union City.  Aurelio ran cross country and wrestled and Edgar “Poe”

Walser Shines In High School Debut

  The Indians Cross Country teams traveled to Union High School for the Ethan Cheeseman Memorial Invitational with the boys being lead by Freshman Conner Walser followed by Domronglit Shinaver and Michael Vore. Collin Perry was unable to compete tonight due to injury but it working his way back in hopes of competing at Pendleton
