The Indians beat Southern Wells in the opening game of the Dylan Williams Memorial Wood Bat Tournament, 9-2. The Indians were lead at the plate by Hunter Reagans with a double, a single, and 1 RBI. 7 other Indians had one hit each. Corbin Richards started on the mound and after pitching two innings, he was relieved by Zach Fulk. Fulk got the win pitching 5 innings and giving up no runs. The Indians (5-6) advance to the finals on Saturday afternoon.
In the second opening-round game Ansonia beat Tri-Village by a score of 1-0.
In the consolation game, Tri-Village was able to outscore Southern Wells 9-0.
