Saturday morning the Indian cross country teams traveled to Taylor University for the Taylor University High School Invite. While other county schools ran local it was a great experience for the Indians to see unfamiliar faces as they ran against teams from Fort Wayne, Zionsville, Homestead and Yorktown just to name a few in the the 17 team field. Ava Jefferis was up to the challenge as she placed 81st out of 188 girls with a season best time of 23:18. With her time Ava has taken 41 seconds off of her time since the first meet of the year. In the Boys race Conner Walser lead the team with another great race. Walser continued to have a great season as he crossed the finish line in 38th place with a time of 17:39. Levi Clark crossed second for the Indians placing 140th with a time of 21:07. Levi continues to gain confidence with each meet and will once again have a chance to run against the larger schools again Tuesday. Conner Cline wasn't far behind Levi Clark as he crossed the finish line in 159th place with a time of 22:11. Cline may get disappointed with his races at times but he continues to improve and has been faster than last season in all three races he's been in this season. Scott O'Connor finished 177th for the Indians with a time of 24:18. O'Connor continues to get better from where he was last season and yesterday he was on pace to PR once again until the humidity started getting to everyone. The Indians are back in action on Tuesday in Pendleton for the Arabian Roundup then on Saturday for the Coach Noff Memorial Invitational
