The Lady Indians fell to the Ansonia Tigers in an overtime battle, 62-60. The Indians had a slow start to the game and despite defeating the Tigers in every other quarter the Indians could not overcome the early deficit. The Indians fought hard coming out at the half and tied the game at the end of the third, it would be a battle from there. A drive to the basket and floater by Ordonez at the end of regulation would tie the Tigers and send the game into overtime. The lead was back and forth throughout the overtime period but the Indians ran out of time and a shot with only seconds remaining on the clock would give the Tigers the lead to seal the win. The Indians were lead by Gabby Ordonez who shot a perfect 5 for 5 from the three point line with 21 points and 4 assists. Lulu had 16 points and 5 steals while Fischer added a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Indians are now 4-4 and will play against Conference opponent Centerville at Centerville on Wednesday. The Junior Varsity was also defeated by the Tigers in a two quarter match up, 24-7. Evans had 4 points and 3 rebounds and Jones added 3 steals for the Indians. They will tip off at 6PM on Wednesday at Centerville.
