The JH Boys Basketball traveled to Jay County Monday night. The 8th grade score: Jay County 42, UC 32. Overall, the 8th grade played well and continue to improve in multiple aspects of the game. There was balanced scoring with Dylan Shinaver leading with 11 points, followed by Dash Thacker 8 points, Cale Holt 7 points and Jadden Lopez-Forthe with 6 points. Tayson Barbour continues to improve in defense and rebounding. Cooper Woolston, Jose Jimenez-Ulloa and Keegan Cooper provide valuable minutes of contributions with defending, rebounding and active hands leading to steals. Jordan Hylton and Liam Conley are among the best defenders, which requires effort, discipline and a mindset that not may players are willing to do. The question on the floor is not what you are capable of, but what are you willing to do. Each member of this team continue to improve on and off the court in their personal development.
