The Union City Indians came up on the short end of their home opener against the Monroe Central Bears. The final score was MC 38 UC 0. Although the final score was not what the Indians wanted they did see some good things to build on moving forward. Freshman QB Jayson Connor was able to move the offense by showcasing some of his abilities to throw the football. Junior RB/WR Alec Spence did a great job all night on the receiving end of some of Connor's passes. On defense the Indians are starting to adjust to the new defensive scheme and should be able to put it altogether soon. The Indians travel to Hagerstown Friday for a TEC matchup against the Tigers.
