Last Friday the Indians traveled to Jay County where they participated in one of the most intense wrestling tournaments of the season, the Jay County ECIC which stands for East Central Indiana Conference. Each year 15 or more teams gather from around the area and beyond to go head-to-head for the ECIC Champion title. This year Union City's own Bradin Daniels competed in the 126-pound weight class where he finished 3rd for the day. In round one Bradin faced Keegan Carter from New Castle High School where he was victorious with his 1st pin of the day. Round two was no different, pinning Claytin Martin of Alexandria Monroe. Round three proved to be a bit more intense where Bradin fought but ended up with a 6-9 loss against Columbus North's Jason Shuey. Finally in the finals Bradin finished the day with a 3rd place finish with a pin against Isaac Musgrove from Muncie Central. Other wrestlers with wins for the day were Gavin Elmore (138), Austin Roth (150), Josiah Plessinger (165), Felix Nicolas-Cruz (175), and Keyton Tipple (285).
