The JH Boys Basketball traveled to Northeastern Thursday evening. 8th grade score: NE 45, UC 40. The Indians were led in scoring by Cale Holt with 12 points followed by Tayson Barbour and Dash Thacker adding 11 points each. With the absence of Dylan Shinaver due to sickness, each member of the team stepped up in a big way. While Cale, Tayson and Dash increased their scoring output, Liam Conley stepped into the starting role with a great defensive effort. Jose Jimenez-Ulloa contributes in an unselfish manner that does not show up in the scorebook with his screens and rebounding. Keegan Cooper and Jordan Hylton each added 2 points in the second half to bring the score close. Landon Crabtree is a great teammate with his support during the game. Jadden Lopez-Forsythe added scoring and was not able to finish the game due to an injury. While a lot of student athletes talk about "leaving it all on the court or on the field", Jadden is a student athlete that consistently demonstrates it. The next game is Thursday, January 18 at Ansonia.
