The Lady Indians tennis team was defeated last night in their home opener against Lincoln. Camryn Fischer played #1 singles. She played hard for two sets with scores 5-7 and 6-4. The weather stopped her from finishing her last set and it will be finished at a later date (TBD). Elizabeth Prinkey played well at #2 singles with scores of 3-6 and 1-6. Ashley Garrett was in #3 singles and her scores for the night were 3-6 and 2-6. In the #1 doubles position were Shelby Arnold and Addison Thornburg. They played hard for 3 sets, 2-6, 6-3 and 1-6. Kiernan Watson and Isabella Bahena played together at #2 doubles with scores 0-6 and 5-7. Miranda Clark played JV with scores of 0-8 and 5-8. Though defeated there were MANY positives for the night and they genuinely had a good time. We look forward to watching them as they build their confidence and encourage each other on and off the court. The next match is Thursday at Tri-High starting at 5:00 pm.
