The lady Indians track team traveled with the boys to Wapahani on Thursday night for a five way track meet against Wapahani, Seton Catholic, Blackford and Blue River. As the girls continue to grow and click as a team they are getting better and that didn't change Thursday night. While many of the girls felt they didn't finish the best they also understood that not every meet is going to go great and not every meet is going to be cold and raining throughout the whole meet. Maegan Dickmann and Campbell Kerns were first up for the Indians in the 100mh and both girl ran their best times of the season with Dickmann finishing 5th and Kerns placing 7th for the Indians. Nova Mote was next up for the girls team in the 100m dash. Mote placed 9th for the Indians and just missed the top five by one second. Ava Jefferis ran another solid race in the 1600 placing 3rd for the Indians and ran nearly the same time that she had ran on Tuesday at Ansonia. The 4x100 relay team of Allyson Carter, Emmi Kreiner, LuLu and Nova Mote in just their second meet of the season together ran to a 3rd place finish. After finishing the 4x100 relay Allyson Carter was back on the line for the 400m dash with Sofia Emrick. Both girls battled their way through the water and multiple other girls to finish in the top 11 for the team. Carter placed 8th while Emrick placed 11th. Maegan Dickmann lined up in the 300mh for the Indians and while it wasn't her best time of the season she was able to cross the line in 5th place. Ava Jefferis once again lined up in the 800m against another great field of girls and managed to battled back and forth before crossing the line with a 6th place finish. In the 200m dash it was LuLu, Emmi Kreiner and Sofia Emrick lining up. LuLu was the top placing Indian finishing 5th but not far behind were Emmi Kreiner 9th and Sofia Emrick 11th. The girls 4x400 relay team of LuLu, Allyson Carter, Ava Jefferis and Emmi Kreiner closed out the girls meet with the wind blowing and a 3rd place finish.
