The lady Indians track team traveled to Randolph Southern Saturday morning and when it was all finished walked away with some of their best performances of the season. It has been a slow start to the season with so much rain, wind and cold and on Saturday the weather was perfect and each of the girls showed that they are able to compete with the other small schools in the area. In the 100mh Maegan Dickmann ran to a top three finish and her best time of the season. Dickmann crossed the line in 3rd place for the Indians. Novah Mote and Sofia Emrick battle each other in the 100m dash finishing side by side and a 12th and 13th place finish. Mote crossed the line in 12th while Emrick was right behind in 13th. Ava Jefferis was up next to battle the rest of the girls in the 1600m run. Ava ran a solid race and with a kick at the end was able to finish 7th and finish just shy of her PR for the 1600. The 4x1 relay team of Novah Mote, Emmi Kreiner, Allyson Carter and Sofia Emrick battled to a 6th place finish and just shy of their PR while they were missing LuLu during the meet. In the 400 it was Allyson Carter stepping back up to the line and was able to run to a solid 7th place finish and just shy of a top 5. Maegan Dickmann was able to score points for the Indians in the 300mh placing 7th and just two seconds from placing in the top five. Maegan will continue to get better throughout the year as we continue to work towards the County meet. Ava Jefferis ran just shy of her PR in the 800m placing 9th in a field of very tough girls that she has ran with the past couple of years in track and cross country. The 4x400 relay team of Novah Mote, Emmi Kreiner, Maegan Dickmann and Allyson Carter went out and ran their best race of the season. The Indians girls placed 6th and were less than two seconds away from fourth. Novah Mote was the only freshman in the long jump and was able to walk away with an 8th place finish and secure points for the Indians.
