The lady Indians traveled to Winchester to compete in the Randolph County meet on Thursday night and came away with a 5th place finish. After most of the girls struggled all week due to being sick and not feeling good they still went out and gave it everything they had against the rest of the girls in the county. Maegan Dickmann and Campbell Kerns were the ones to get things started in the 100mh and after having struggles throughout the season in the event both girls got back to where they needed to be and were able to finish with their season best times. Dickmann not only reason a season best but ran to a new PR in the hurdle event while Kerns just missed out on her PR. In the 100m dash Novah Mote and Sofia Emrick once again battled with each other like they have all season. This time it was Mote finishing just ahead of Emrick. Both girls continued to improve their time and Mote finished 8th while Emrick finished 9th. After not feeling the best all day Ava Jefferis lined up for the 1600m with the best girls in the county and came away once again with a new PR for the second straight week and placed 5th for the Indians. The girls 4x100 relay team of LuLu, Emmi Kreiner, Novah Mote and Allyson Carter ran to a 3rd place finish and once again set a new PR. The girls did very well after changing their lineup up on Wednesday. Currently the girls have taken three seconds off of their time since the season started with still time left in the season to make things happen. Allyson Carter and LuLu were back on the line in the 400m dash and both set new PR's for the race. This is after finishing up the relay then getting ready to go again. LuLu crossed the finish line in 4th place and Carter wasn't far behind finishing 7th with a two second PR. Maegan Dickmann running the 300mh once again finished 6th and set a new season best for meets that we have attended in Indiana. In the 800m run it was Ava Jefferis and Sofia Emrick. Ava placed 7th with a new PR and since the season has started she has taken off twelve seconds. Sofia Emrick was taking on the 800m for the first time and she was right up in the mix with the rest of the girls. Everyone was for sure ready to run as seven of the girls either ran new season best times or a season best time. Emmi Kreiner and Allyson Carter were in the 200m dash for the girls and Kreiner placed 6th just missing her PR that she set last week and Carter running the race for the first time this season placed 9th after coming back from being sick this week. The girls 4x400 relay team of Emmi Kreiner, LuLu, Allyson Carter and Ava Jefferis closed out the night with a 4th place finish. Sofia Emrick not only had a great race in the 800m she also set a new PR in Shot Put and placed 9th. In Long Jump Novah Mote and Campbell Kerns both had great days finishing 3rd and 4th. Kerns jumped to a new season best for her second event on the day where she achieved her season best and a 3rd place finish. Mote placed 4th and was just three inches behind Kerns to help the Indians with points.
