Girls Basketball loses to County Rival Randolph Southern

The Lady Indians fell to the Randolph Southern Rebels 43-50. The Indians had a sluggish start and were unable to overcome the Rebels even after getting within striking distance late in the fourth. Rebounding made the difference in the game with the Indians getting only one to the Rebels every two boards. The Indians were led by Reichard with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 5 deflections, 4 steals and 3 assists. Fischer had 6 each in points and rebounds. Black added 6 as well. The Indians are now 1-2 on the season and will play at New Castle on Saturday following the JV game. The Junior Varsity was victorious over the Rebels with a 17-6 win. They were led by Kerns with 6 points, Evans with 4 points and 5 rebounds and Sam Jones with 4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. The JV is now 1-2 and will be in action on Saturday at New Castle with an 11 AM start time.
