The Lady Indians traveled to Union Modoc to face the Rockets in their season opener. The Indians were up 11 going into the final quarter but some cold shooting allowed the Rockets to get back into the game to send it into the first overtime. The Indians didn't give up even after being down and tied the game to send it into a second overtime. With the game tied and 5.8 seconds remaining Oaklee Reichard received the inbound and went full court to get up one last shot. Reichard was fouled on the shot and went to the line to shoot 3. Reichard hit the last free throw to put the Indians up 1. As time expired the Rockets would not be able to get a shot off and the Indians would come out victorious. The final score was 54-53. Oaklee Reichard led the Indians with a double double dropping in 36 points and pulling down 19 rebounds. Mote added 7 points and Kerns 7 rebounds. The Indians are 1-0 and will open up at home versus Southern Wells with the JV tip set for 6 PM.
