7th Grade Basketball Team Season Review

The Union City 7th Grade Basketball team ends the 22-23 season on a strong note. The boys started the season off rocky but quickly gained their footing. They persevered through some tough games and went 5-4 in their last nine games. They started off this stretch by winning the Randolph Southern Basketball tournament (2 games.) They also beat Union, Randolph Southern and Seton Catholic. The team's team losses in this stretch were very noble. They lost by 1 to a very good Fort Recovery team, lost by 2 to Northeastern, lost to crosstown rivals Mississinawa Valley and lost to the eventual Randolph County Champions, Monroe Central. As a coach there is nothing more than seeing your team grow and never give up. As 7th Graders these gentlemen showed tremendous resilience when things did not go their way. They always played with a smile, they encouraged each other, and they held one another accountable. These boys have great basketball potential and will continue to bring pride to their school, community, coaches, and parents.
