The Union City 8th Grade Basketball team ends the 22-23 season as Randolph County Runner ups. They boys played with passion, and hustle all year long. The players grew together as a family and as individual basketball players. They went into each game determined to improve as a team and fought hard until the final buzzers. As a coach I am very proud to have been a part of this team's journey. The team got wins over Hagerstown, Monroe Central (twice), Randolph Southern (twice), and Seton Catholic this season. They had some very close matchups against Bradford, Morristown, Union and Winchester (twice.) These games may have resulted in losses but they were tremendous growing opportunities for these boys. They are extremely excited to showcase their talents next year as they compete for spots on the High School basketball team.
