The JHCC Team opened their season on Saturday, August 23 at the Meister Family Memorial Run at Monroe Central. It was a great morning for the season opener with several schools represented. The Lady Indians are represented by Lyla Baldwin, who is the sole runner for the JHCC Girls. We could not be more proud of her courage and efforts as she began this season with a solid finish of 27th place out of 73 participants. Lyla finished with a time of 14:47, which earned a ribbon. The JHCC Boys Team are represented by Reid Kerns, Tristan Dohme, Rowan Jones, and Luke Jones. Reid Kerns led the Indians with a finishing time of 14:11, which placed 57 out of 122 participants. The Dynamic Duo of brothers, Rowan and Luke finished very close to each other with Rowan having a time of 15:38 placing 87/122 and Luke's time of 15:50 placing 89/122. Tristan had a strong finish with a time of 16:15 placing 96/122. Overall, it was an exciting day of running with all the participants and seeing the great effort demonstrated by each member of the Indians JHCC Team. A special event for Luke, as he ran in the first race of his career.
