The boys and girls track teams traveled to Monroe Central on Thursday to take on the rest of the county in the Randolph County Meet and came away with multiple first place finishes and many PR performances. In the Girls meet Maegan Dickmann got things started by placing 3rd in the 100mh. Maegan just missed second place by the flip of her hair but was able to achieve a new PR with a 19.01. Maegan finished out the night with a 6th place finish in the 300mh. Campbell Kerns was the second runner in the 100mh and she was able to place 7th just shy of her PR. Campbell went on to finish 3rd in the long jump for the Indians. Ava Jefferies had the best meet of her career in both the 1600 and 800m races. In the 1600 Ava ran a new PR and placed 7th then went on to run another PR in the 800 and placed 6th. Camille Helmick has been the most consistent runner for the Indians in the 300mh placing 7th. Camille has ran the almost exact same time at each meet this season. Each other the runners in the race ran their best 800 split. In the 110mh Jayson Connor had a solid race going before hitting the last hurdle causing him to fall but was able to get up and place 4th. Running in his last County meet Landen Dickmann placed 3rd by a lean at the finish then turned around and ran his second best time ever in the 300mh. Bradin Daniels ran the perfect race in the 800m as he lead a close pack until 200 meters left then he took off and won by just over 4 seconds. (As Bradin would say it was time to blow the carbon out). Johnta Hill finished 6th with a season best time in the 800. In the 300mh Conner Walser finished second for the Indians and was on pace to break the school record until he hit the final two hurdles but was able to finish second. Landen Dickmann set a new season best time and came across the line with a 4th place finish. In the 4x400 race a mistake was made that we all learned from and Colton Emrick had to step up to help the team and did exactly what he needed to do. Colton along with Bradin Daniels, Conner Walser and Jayson Connor were able to set a new PR for the season and place first. Michael Miller threw a new career best in the discus and was able to finish 5th for the Indians.
