The boys track team traveled to Delta high school on Thursday for the sectional track meet and hopes of advancing to the regional. While there were many great performances all the way around it was hard to match up against some of the top ranked athletes in the state. All of the athletes knew going into the meet that they were going to need to have some career best performances to have a chance. Conner Walser earned the most points for the team on the day got closer to the record in the 300mh as he crossed the finish line in 43.88. With that time Walser is less than a second from breaking the current school record of 42.9. Conner also made the finals in the long jump and was able to place 7th with a jump 18'10. Alec Spence also scored points for the Indians in the stacked 400m race. Going into the race Alec knew that he was going to need to have his best day to win. Although he didn't win the race he was able to cross the line in 8th place with a time of 55.7. The 4x400 relay team of Alec Spence, Colton Emrick, Jackson Cowper and Conner Walser scored the final points of the meet for the Indians. The team knew that it would take a school record performance to make it out of sectional this year so they gave it everything they had and finished 6th place.
