🏆 Indians Tennis Compete at Bluffton Invitational 🎾 The Indians tennis team traveled to the Bluffton Invitational and competed extremely well against some bigger schools. Our players battled hard, gained valuable experience, and showed a lot of fight throughout the day! 🎾 #1 Singles — Luis Nieto Luis faced Manchester in an absolute battle! It was a back-and-forth, hard-fought match that was exciting to watch from start to finish. Luis fell 4-6, 6-3, 11-13 in the match tiebreak. He then took on Bluffton in an 8-game pro set, falling 2-8. Great effort from Luis! 🎾 #2 Singles — Levi Clark Levi opened against Norwell and came away with a strong 6-4, 6-0 victory. He then faced Bishop Luers and battled hard, falling 3-6, 4-6. Levi was unable to play his third match after rolling his ankle. We decided it was best to shut him down and get him healthy for our three matches next week. Great job, Levi! 🎾 #3 Singles — Reid Kerns Reid faced Warsaw and fell 0-6, 0-6, then battled Bishop Luers in an 8-game pro set, falling 3-8. Reid is a freshman who is picking up the game quickly, and he is becoming very exciting to watch. His future is bright! 🎾 #1 Doubles — Asa Vaughn & Gabe Thomas Asa and Gabe opened against Westview, falling 0-6, 0-6. They then faced Warsaw in an 8-game pro set and battled all the way to a tiebreak, falling 8-9 (9-11). What a fight from these two! 🎾 #2 Doubles — Luke Jefferis & Lucas Lynch Luke and Lucas faced Bishop Luers and fell 1-6, 0-6. They bounced back with a win over Norwell before taking on Warsaw in an 8-game pro set, falling 1-8. Our #2 doubles team is made up of two young freshmen who are eager to learn, improve, and grow together. The future is definitely bright for these young men! Overall, it was a great day of tennis for the Indians. We competed against some larger programs, gained valuable experience, and continued to build for the season ahead. Keep working. Keep improving.
