Indians Battle to 3-2 Victory Over Winchester The Union City Indians traveled to Winchester this evening to take on a TEC opponent in a hard-fought matchup. After battling throughout the evening, the Indians came away with a 3-2 team victory over Winchester. The Indians showed determination and resilience throughout the match, gaining valuable experience against a tough Winchester squad. Singles No. 1 Singles – Luis Nieto Nieto battled hard in a competitive match and came away with the victory, winning 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. No. 2 Singles – Levi Clark Clark fought through a tough match but came up short, falling 2-6, 3-6. No. 3 Singles – Reid Kerns Kerns battled point-for-point in the opening set before taking control and finishing strong with a 6-4, 6-1 victory. Doubles No. 1 Doubles – Asa Vaughn & Gabe Thomas Vaughn and Thomas battled hard but fell 4-6, 3-6. No. 2 Doubles – Luke Jefferis & Lucas Lynch Jefferis and Lynch put together a strong performance and came away with a 6-2, 6-3 victory. JV Action Charlie Beam & Jet Thacker competed in a JV doubles match and earned an impressive 8-2 pro-set victory. Eli Cooper competed in a JV singles pro set to 8 and fell 3-8. The Indians will have a quick turnaround, returning to action Thursday when they take on Randolph Southern, another county opponent. Come out and support the Indians as they continue their season and prepare for sectional play! The boys would love to see you there!
